#NoXiNoTrump: join solidarity actions from UK to New Zealand & online on 1 Oct

Against Beijing & Washington
For international workers’ solidarity!

1 October marks 71 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China – and one year since Hong Kong police began using live ammunition on democracy protesters. Our call to action with our friends in Labour Movement Solidarity with Hong Kong (UK) has brought together internationalists both in the UK and abroad, including politicians, trade unionists, human rights campaigners, and many, many ordinary supporters. Now it’s time to take action!

Here we’ve collected protest activities that you can join on Thursday 1 October, organised by supporters of the call to action – both online and in the streets. Get involved, and please remember to take all appropriate precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19, including wearing face coverings and following guidance from protest organisers*.

Share photos and messages online using the internationalist hashtag #NoXiNoTrump – though please ask before taking photos in which protesters’ faces are visible, in case they or their families are at risk from state repression.
