The Uyghur Solidarity Campaign UK brings together solidarity in the UK workers’ movement in support of the Uyghur people’s struggle for freedom.

As part of the Chinese state’s brutal, genocidal crackdown on Uyghurs and other Muslim-majority ethnic groups from East Turkestan (Xinjiang), tens or hundreds of thousands of workers have been forced to toil in factories across China. These factories have been linked to the supply chains of corporate capitalist giants like Apple, Zara and Nike.

So, since it’s the first weekend of post-lockdown holiday shopping, we’re moving our usual monthly protest from the Chinese embassy to call out Nike’s complicity in these abuses. Join us to demand that Nike transparently investigates their whole supply chains and cuts ties with any supplier continuing to use forced labour – whether in China or anywhere in the world.

Please spread the word, and bring placards and banners – including banners representing your trade unions and campaign organisations!

Please help us keep everyone safe from COVID-19:
😷 Wear a face covering at all times
🦺  Protest stewards will ask you to maintain physical distancing – please follow their advice

🤒 Stay home if you or anyone in your household is vulnerable or has shown COVID-19 symptoms in the last 2 weeks, or if you have been told to self-isolate
